Dr. Berardo is a Naturopathic Physician based in Langley, B.C. Growing up as an all season athlete, the intricate and miraculous workings of the human body was something that always fascinated Dr. Casey Berardo. She discovered her passion for naturopathic medicine when faced with illness and injury as a competitive track-and-field athlete in university, and hasn’t looked back since. What began as a personal interest in achieving optimal health became a lifelong commitment to be of service to those embarking on their own healing journeys.

Dr. Berardo first and foremost treats the individual. She has a general family medical practice with particular interest in digestive disorders, women’s health, holistic weight loss, acute/chronic pain management and optimizing mental health and physical performance. Dr. Berardo practices medicine with compassion and educates and empowers individuals so they can improve their health and lifestyle while creating lasting changes. There is an innate healing capacity that lies within each of us, and Dr. Berardo believes that our greatest obstacles in health also present us with our biggest opportunities.

Dr. Berardo is a graduate of the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine. During her studies, she completed an internship with Natural Doctors International in Nicaragua as well as at Positive Living BC, providing medical care to those living with HIV/AIDS. She has prescriptive authority in British Columbia and is CNPBC board certified in Acupuncture, Intravenous Nutrient Therapy and Advanced Injection Therapies I which includes Prolotherapy. Dr. Berardo is a member in good sta1nding of the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia (CNPBC), British Columbia Naturopathic Association (BCNA), and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND).

In addition to being a Naturopathic Physician, Casey continues to constantly seek out new athletic pursuits and adventures. Casey is a runner, a Crossfit athlete, and has a goal of completing an Ironman triathlon. Meghan Butterworth, is a graduate of the West Coast College of Massage Therapy program in 2018. Prior to becoming an RMT, Meghan completed her Bachelor of Human Kinetics at UBC Okanagan with a focus in Health Promotion. After four years coordinating grassroots programs for provincial sport organizations, Meghan was drawn to continue her healthcare education. Her kind and conscientious demeanour is an asset to our patients and helping them attain their specific treatment goals. Dr. Jung is a certified Active Release Techniques (ART®) provider and is also certified in Graston Technique. Dr. Jung is very familiar with an active lifestyle and competitive sports. As a member of the varsity swim team at SFU, she attended numerous national swim meets including Olympic Trials and helped SFU win 4 national titles while completing her degree. Taylor graduated from Vancouver College of Massage Therapy (VCMT) in April 2015. During the 20-month full time program, she was able to complete 550+ hours of hands on training that enabled her to work with a variety of patients and conditions. After finishing school she knew that she wanted to work in a team-oriented environment with a variety of practitioners, which brought her to Moveo.

Taylor tends to take a more pain science based view when treating her patients. This evidence based approach focuses on the complex nature of pain through a biopsychosocial lens that encompasses the neurobiology of pain. This includes its causes, mechanisms, perceptions and management. Taylor strives to develop patient specific treatment plans that are customized based on subjective symptoms and objective findings. She is able to asses and treat a variety of conditions but her favourite areas and conditions include the treatment of headaches/migraines, the shoulder joint, hip/lower back and the jaw. Melissa is a Certified Athletic Therapist who completed her Bachelors of Athletic Therapy from Camosun College. She also has her Bachelors in Human Kinetics from The University of British Columbia Okangan. In addition to her schooling, Melissa holds certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach and is a Certified First Responder.

Melissa has spent the last 5 years working as a strength and conditioning coach both before and during her athletic therapy schooling. During the last number of years Melissa has worked with athletes from a variety of sports including volleyball, soccer, basketball, football, hockey, rugby, and ultimate frisbee. She has a special interest in working with those who have suffered from acute traumatic knee injuries such as ligamentous injuries of the ACL or meniscus tears.

Melissa believes in the importance of appropriate injury management through the use of thorough full body assessment, manual therapy and exercise rehabilitation. She takes pride in implementing objective testing measures to inform progression and return to activity or sport. Mischa Partridge is a Certified Athletic Therapist who completed his Bachelor of Athletic and Exercise Therapy at Camosun College in Victoria, BC. As an athletic therapist, Mischa is also a certified first responder and a member of the National and Provincial Athletic Therapy Associations.

Prior to his post secondary education, Mischa spent seven years competing as a professional cyclist, as a member of both the National BMX and National Track cycling teams. Still an active cyclist, Mischa coaches the Provincial BMX team, and enjoys riding his mountain bike and gravel bike. Competing in these high-risk sports, Mischa has dealt personally with many injuries and in turn developed an interest and great appreciation for the world of rehabilitation. Along with his passion for high performance sport, this became a major inspiration for pursuing his career as a therapist.

Since graduating, Mischa has worked as a field therapist for many different sports including volleyball, hockey, soccer, field hockey, rugby, and others. To this point in his career Mischa has travelled to World Cup competitions with the Canadian National BMX team, and attended the 2019 Pan American Games with the Women’s National Volleyball team who he work with for the last four years.

A thorough assessment both globally and specific to the area of concern allows Mischa to understand the nature and severity of dysfunction. Utilizing manual therapy techniques to restore proper function and therapeutic exercise to reinforce correct movement patterns, you can expect a more active style of treatment. Anand obtained his Bachelors of Physiotherapy degree from India in 2005 and holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Cardiovascular Rehabilitation, University of Chester U.K. He is also fully credentialed McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment, Mulligan’s concept Manual Therapy, Functional dry needling and have participated in many more continuing education programs. A native of Vancouver, British Columbia, Dr. Nav Sohi received his Bachelor of Kinesiology in Exercise Science at the University of the Fraser Valley. Upon graduation, he began work at Innovative Fitness in White Rock, specializing in sport specific training and developmental rehabilitation. Dr. Jenn Turner completed her Bachelors Degree in Physical Education at Brock University in St. Catharine’s, Ontario. After graduating, she continued her education at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic. After a number of years gaining experience in the Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences (Canada)’s sports residency program, Dr. Turner passed the exam to accomplish her Chiropractic Sports Sciences fellowship program in November 2017, thus qualifying her as a Chiropractic Sport Specialist. Jenn is a fully certified Active Release Techniques © practitioner as well as being trained in Graston Techniques ® and practices out of her clinic Movéo Sport & Rehabilitation Centre in both locations, North Vancouver (opened 2006) and Walnut Grove (2017).

Her expertise as a sports chiropractor has taken Jenn around the world with her job with Cycling Canada.
